In North Zealand, between Frederiksværk and Hundested, you will find one of Denmark's oldest ecological villages, Dyssekilde.
In 1990 here was just a potato field. Today we are a bustling community with 120 adults and 60 children aged 0-92 years.
Colloquially called we ØD, and we try to live a life of community, tolerance and respect, and with a focus on sustainability and ecology. It applies to the solutions we have used, among other things, our common house, wastewater treatment, waste and vegetable growing.
On our website you can read about how we live and how we have chosen to do things.
The village is divided into six residential groups which are organized each with practical chores and social activities. Here you will also be able to experience many exciting solutions to housing, energy, ecology, architecture, sustainability and more.
We hope to pique your curiosity, answer questions and inspire you.
